The process of meeting a potential buyer requires a clear plan. Having a solid strategy keeps everyone secure and makes the final transaction exceptionally smooth. 

 

Meet Buyers at a Police Station Parking Lot

Location matters more than almost anything else during a private vehicle sale. Always choose a well lit public space for that initial introduction. Many local law enforcement buildings have designated safe exchange zones monitored with surveillance cameras. 

Suggesting this location immediately weeds out anyone with bad intentions. A legitimate buyer will completely understand and appreciate the extra security. Criminals will simply stop responding to your messages when they see the meeting place.

Give one copy to the new owner and keep the second copy for your own personal records. This single piece of paper proves you no longer hold liability for whatever happens with the vehicle after the meeting ends.
